What about that Thatcher? She was nice wasn't she? Or was she a right git?

Religion's well good isn't it?

Who is the best political party? Tories or Labour? What about them UKIP fellas?

Scotland, should they leave the UK?

Are Jaffa Cakes biscuits or cakes?

Never knew Aethelred was spelt that way.

Is it pronounced Aethel as in "Ethel" or Aethel as in "Aesop"?

I wonder how different that graph might look if it the respondents were members of blonde only? That green bar might edge up a % or two, maybe?

I think this is another one of those things where we percieve something to have a bigger backlash against it, because those who are opposed to it are much more vocal, and those that are not are shy about expressing it.

Very similar to views on Lady Thatcher. She was immensely popular & respected, but less so on online forums.

I guarantee the chart would look nothing like that one if the question was something like "Was Margaret Thatcher good for Britain?"

Yeah wasn't sure if Teeks was whoosing us there, but I'd expect a Thatcher chart to be a very evenly split 50/50 jobby. Folks either loved her or hated her.

I don't hate the Queen. Actually don't think she does a terrible job.

It will be far far worse when the next in line takes over.

It's the concept of monarchy I have a huge problem with. No place for such an institution in the 21st century.

No no, not trying to whoosh anyone. Not a debate anyone can win, though.

Really?  She got thrown out by her party because she had become so unpopular that they thought they would lose the election.    Would definitely go 50/50 over 90/10.  North England, Wales and Scotland graph would be 25/75 and South England would be 75/25.

That's a bit like striking a balance sheet at a particular moment - it's a snapshot of a moment in time. Strike it earlier, she was immensely popular. Later, nope.

That's a bit like saying people from Nottingham don't reckon much to Brian Clough because he got them relegated.

But I agree with your 25-75 ratios there.
