From prior experience - you wait until 4am for a taxi, finally get to bed and at 8am the only person who didn't go out (and is fit to drive) is banging on your front door for the usual Smokey's run.

The place has been open since the 1950s, don't think they've made many changes to the menu at all. The still serve the old timey stuff like liver and onions.

Ok i thought the story would be more exciting that there was an illegal all night rave every weekend til you head straight to Joe's at 8am without sleeping!

Having parents who have always owned cafes and having owned few myself in the not so distant past I love a full breakfast, 3 bacon, 2 sausage, fried egg, beans, tinned tomatoes, fried slice, 2 crusty toast and all topped off with brown sauce. I would eat that every day if I could without the fear of imminent heart failure. The reality is I have this maybe once every 6 months. I sometimes even construct a triple decker sandwich with Most of those ingredients. When I do I religiously start with one layer buttered toast followed by 2 sausages and the egg. The next layer is the fried bread with bacon and tomatoes, brown sauce and then the final piece of toast. I'm actually dribbling now Smiley

I'm usually up and out by 6:30 most mornings and don't really feel like eating at that time. On the weekend I may have 3 weetabix, half teaspoon of sugar and 3/4 pint of milk.

I bought a man pan the weekend. It's a bit gimmicky but quite useful at the same time.

Weekdays normally either cornflakes, special K or weetabix, and cuppa tea.
Weekends vary, poached egg on toast with brown sauce, fry up at cafe, or my fav a homemade bacon and fried egg sandwich , with brown sauce on outside of bread, and eaten with a knife n fork..........
