I am 24 and got my licence in 2008. I have B and B1 categories on the back.

If i want to drive a 16 seater minibus with passengers in it can I do this? If not what do I need to do in order to drive one?

The people wont be paying specifically for a "Taxi" but a holiday with a lift included if they want it optionally. Then I will be driving them around activates while they are on the trip.

You should be able to drive a minibus on a regular license as long as you're not operating a business using it.

If you're just ferrying people around and you're not taking payments for it, it's all fine I believe.

People are going to be paying a fee for a week away and part of that will include being ferried around in a minibus.

Thoughts on whether this is ok?

As long as any fees paid are just to cover the basic costs of the minibus it's OK. You can't run a meter or use it for personal profit.

Not OK, you would be driving as part of a commercial venture.

Thats what I worried about.

I have sent off for an application pack, no idea what it involves.

Why they cannot just have one online i do not know.

And why they cannot just say £60 come and take a test blah blah blah!
