I haven't seen this, but you have to be on Laura Davies' side here?  What were they thinking?  3 or 4 up as well, which makes it even less understandable.

Apologies for linking to the daily hate, the bbc version wasn't as clear.

I'm sure they could have just had the ball replaced and let Alison Lee take her putt as it was two feet away and not an automatic concession.

The European captain should have definitely intervened.

Ms Inkster is famously competitive & arsey.

Most dislikeable individual.

Ms Petterson is fairly similar.

Perfect chemistry for some argy-bargy then.

Laura probably had a bet on the match, too.

The putt.

It was the walking away that did it. Within the rules maybe but angle shooting for sure.

Them walking off should imply the putt is given. Not technically a given putt but you have to use common sense here. That being said the American's should have waited for confirmation, in a match I never move my ball/ marker unless told to do so.

Utterly disgusting! I hope europe lose the cup now. No place for that sort of behaviour in golf.
That putt was definitely given by Hull and Peterson is angle shooting. I am appauled.

It appears to have been the best team-talk ever as the Yanks look like they might well win it as things stand.

I also would give Petterson a lifetime ban from the solheim cup.

Quite an informative interview with the referee about half way down this page:

http://www.skysports.com/golf/news/29304/9998794/solheim-cup-usa-captain-juli-inkster-accuses-europe-of-disrespect

Seems like as soon as Pettersen said "We didn't concede that" and that was established to be correct, the ruling was completely straightforward.

IMO it's a bit odd that on a poker site where everyone is a stickler for the rules and where I've read "he'll know next time" on many occasions, that Petterson is made out to be a monster for applying the same standards.
