I played in the Holland Casino in Amsterdam (hope this isnt taken as a plug)

We had a 2/2 nlh cash game.

The chips on the table were two spades 10s and 50s all ofc in euros.

I spend more time working out how much and player had bet and how much he had left in his stack than on working out what his cards were.

I remember the 1/3 games in the Wynn used to play with $3 chips.

Anyone else seen anything strange like this on their travels?

I'm not saying it was hard. Just had to adjust from the norm

Usual I see a stack of 20 chips I think it's 20 or 100 or 500 or 2000

Used to the a regular game in Berlin with stakes of 2.50/2.50 played with 2.50 chips. Was really odd, slowed the game down and actually played really nitty. Eventually it died and now they just play 1/1. Sad

My favourite is the 9/18 Limit Holdem game at Commerce, California. You just use $3 chips. So everytime you win a pot - all of these go multiple way with action on every street - you win a mountain of chips. It is fun to stack them!

yeah $3 chips were quite common in LV.  The mirage had 3/6 limit with blinds 1/3 I think and the split pot games were 6/12 I think.

Not played cash games for years, but when I spent the summer grinding at the Bellagio in 2008, I seem to remember the 4/8 limit games having loads of $2 chips.

If we are talking MTT's, last I heard, Naps in Sheffield still had a 200 denom chip.
