.......Can't be any worse than shaun's selections! ( just kidding mate)

Anyway I've gone for an Arsenal and Bolton win double and Sheff Utd for a win single.

I've gone for an Arsenal and Bolton double because I think both will win, but Arsenal are too short to put on a single.

If I put 10 pts on Arsenal and they win I make 4 pts profit......
If I put 10 pts on Bolton and they win I make 12.5 pts profit......
So I've risked 20 pts to win 16.5.

If I put 10 pts on an Arsenal and Bolton double and they both win I make 21.5 pts profit

I can either risk 20 pts to win 16.5 on 2 singles.........
Or I can risk 10 pts to win 21.5 on a double.........

For me, betting 10 to win 21.5 is far better than betting 20 to win 16.5.
Or instead of 20 pts on 2 singles for a return of 16.5, You can put 20 pts on a double for a return of 43 pts.

Risk 20 pts for a return or 16.5 or do a double and risk the same 20 pts for a profit of 43 pts (surly it is a no brainer)

anyway here goes..........

Arsenal and Bolton win double @ 3.15 (10pts)
Sheff Utd win single @ 2.0 (5pts)

fingers crossed...........let's see what happens!

That doesnt make sense from a gambling perspective - if arsenal are too short to bet, they are too short to bet, whether in a singe or a double. Why risk some of your bolton "profits" against a bad price for arsenal ?

I explained why a double and not a single......

As you can see you get a better profit from a double than a single.....

I dont know if you gamble much but if you do then you should know that Arsenals odds go up on a double than on a single

going for the double your taking a bigger risk thats why your getting better odds

but if the odds are not big enough to take the risk on the single they are not good enough to make the double its pure maths

now youve completely lost me....

you get a better profit from a double because of the increased risk.....

you do not get better odds on arsenal in a double, their odds are the same.

If bolton are good value then bet them, and take the value. Dont try and "buy money" by combining it with another bet which is poorly priced IYO.

and yes, I have bet a few quid in my time.....

Maybe I've worded things wrong in my original post.....

I think Arsenal and Bolton will both win tomorrow night.......
IMO it is far better to do the double than 2 singles.......

20 pts on 2 singles gives you 16.5 profit.....whereas you can stake 10 on the double and win 21.5

Or still use 20 pts on the double for a profit of 43 pts.........

surly it is a no brainer to do a double rather than 2 singles when you think both teams are going to win

reply to bundle........

I dont know what shaunie boy does when his tips dont come in, but I dont really care less what happens.

Obviously I want them to win, or else I would'nt be betting on them, but if they lose then they lose, I'm not going to cry and whinge about it, every single person who bets on football loses at some point.

I've posted a couple of selections.........if they come in then great, if they dont , they dont

I've gone for an Arsenal and Bolton double because I think both will win, but Arsenal are too short to put on a single.

But that's exactly what you are doing. With a double on Bolton and Arsenal, you are essentially betting a single on Bolton and then, provided Bolton win, you are placing a single bet on Arsenal with your entire winnings from the Bolton bet.
