How do I post a picture that I've uploaded to Google Photos from my phone?

I can open the photo, click the 'share' symbol, get the link and paste it on to a blonde thread, but I doesn't show up as a picture.

I can't remember for sure but I think when I've used google photo's for that I've just opened the image in a tab by itself and then used that url to create the link - it's not really a problem that it's huge when you're just copying and pasting

I would take off the s for the https though

I've just been having a look - it looks like you "should" be able to do it from the phone, but like you I can't see "how" you'd do it. Not sure if it's a google problem or an android one.

I'm beginning to think it's not possible but I'm reluctant to believe it.

Tom I use Dropbox and Photobucket. When I click the share tag I get an option to "copy link to clipboard" then paste into where ever you want to post it.

Thanks Kev. I use Photobucket too, but the Google pictures thing is pretty cool, it stores all your pics with no limit on space and makes them easy to find.

For example, I uploaded over 4000 photos last night, this morning I wanted to find a particular one so I searched for 'man hat' and it retrieved all the pictures I have of men in hats.

It works with all sorts of commands, I searched 'Settee' and It found about 30 pics containing settees.

It would be great if I could just post pictures to the forum from it using my phone.

Yes.  I dont know why.  You need a url ending in.jpeg(or jpg I can't remember) not a short url but I dint know why your phone does it.
