What is it with this pumpkin mania, not just Halloween, but it seems to be the flavour of the year, it's in so many things. Why?

I mean, who would want a Starbucks coffee laced with bloody pumpkin?

Gill informed me last night "this will be the porch of our home in America". Yeah, right.

Then she told me, excitedly, she had been to Tesco & got some pumpkin flavoured marshmallows. Pumpkin flavoured marshmallows?

To top that, she then informed me they were imported from China. Pumpkin flavoured marshmallows imported from China? Just think of the logistics.

Has the world gone mad?

How do you make money delivering lorry loads of pumpkins, ffs, they are just water, take a load of space, & cost about threepence each?

Carbon footprint, my arse.

Coming back from the gym on Thursday, and my brother says 'Got to go by Tescos, so I can pick up some Pumpkins for the kids' Cheesy

Never understood the fascination with them myself, even when I was a kid, and we never got them to carve etc.

Seems to have only become more prevalent recently, or am I imagining things?

Correct, it's like Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Valentines Day, & every other bloody Day bollox.

Can't be doling with it.

There'll be crimble goods in the shops soon, there will, mark my words.

Crimble merchandise would go on sale 24th December, & not a day earlier, if I had my way. Or even better, cancel it.

Haha, I don't mind those as they're all family orientated, but I won't be buying any pumpkin spiced lattes in a hurry Smiley

Chrimbo in September/October though, just fuck off!

The most incredible thing about this thread is marky said he was at the gym the other day and no one questioned it.
