Pretty sad, imo.
Never seen a better player than when he was in his pomp, & - at the time - he was great for golf.

Too much mardyness and feeling sorry for himself because he's not winning everything any more.
Needs a kick up the arse and a good talking to imo. Welcome to the real world Tiger.

At his best, a stunning sportsman and sensational competitor. At his worst, a selfish and arrogant excuse peddlar. Would have been really interesting to see how his career would have panned out had the cheating scandal never been revealed. It felt very much like that was his Samson popping down his local barbers for a short back and sides moment.
Personally I'd be surprised if he ever won a PGA Tour event again, let alone a major. That said, Davis Love won one at 51 this season!

Sad demise but his legacy is being continued by the young stars of today and he is one of the few sportsmen who have truely changed their sport. Athleticism and power is now probably the biggest factor in a golfers DNA.
As well as a big pair of balls. (Tigers must have been like grapefruits)

I remember at one point in his pomp he had a record of something like: when he led or tied after three rounds he won 24 from 25 chances.
One of those rare sportsmen, (like Hendry, Brady or Federer) that played his best when the pressure is at its most extreme.

He also went off odds on for a main pga tour event i think and very close to odds on for majors. Don't think that will be happening again in a rush.

I cant quite recall the tournament but I remember one year he was 6 shots back of Sean O'Hair going into the final round and was still the 7/4 favourite.
He duly obliged.

It's not the end of him playing imo, as he just doesn't seem the type to admit defeat to the injuries and call it a day.
Unfortunately, as has been the case for years now, he is in that twilight of his career where he thinks if he works hard he will be back to his best. The game has passed him by.
