Here's a map: R overperformance in red. Not random. In fact, errors correlate with the non-college educated white share of the population (ie the pollsters weren't reaching a segment of the population, not on their lists and if they were not telling the truth)

Apparently the pledge to ban Muslims entering the USA has been removed from Trump's website.

That and his quite conciliatory speech gives me a (tiny) glimmer of hope that now he is in, he is going to be much more moderate, centrist and actually wants to be remembered as a good President (as opposed to just doing this whole thing so we can wipe his knob on the desk of the Oval Office in front of Obama and scream 'yeeehawww how you like that bitch?').
Give it a year and it'll just be business as usual, or the Hunger Games.

Fact of the day: Newt Gingrich's Phd is on "Belgian Education Policy in the Congo: 1945–1960"
Gingrich is mooted at the new Scretary of state

How will history remember Hillary now? When the dust settles, will the Democrats be considered responsible? The Republican vote was fairly typical; it seems to be her vote which was markedly lower than Obama's. Does this mean they simply picked the wrong candidate? That they played the game wrongly?
IIRC bernie had a double digit lead in the sanders vs trump polls
No guarantee that he'd win of course, communism is still a very dirty word in the US and the trump campaign would have hammered that message

paddypower won't lay a bet, its PR nonsense
but some of the 10/1 impeachment would be a fun tuckaway
paddy claim to have paid out £800k on HRC three weeks ago, and then Trump won for another £4m liability. So for some of us every dark cloud has a silver lining
10/1 gone obviously
now 8/1....can do a Fred bet.?... max £20 being offered!

i thought 10/1 was a fun price. plenty of skeletons in the closet, plenty of enemies.
suppose i would have to know more/read more about the impeachment process to know if it was worth a serious bet.
