I want to know what has been happening behind the scenes. Were Fauci and Birx browbeating Trump to get him to make the statement, against his instinct. Or was he going around cursing Kemp and actually toned down his words? What was Pence saying, and anyone else involved, like Health Secretary Alex Azar? It will come out at some point, maybe quite soon.

Amazing how people get such different things from interviews.

Just been reading up on Carolyn Goodman, who has just turned 81 and is a year into her third term as Mayor of Las Vegas, re-elected in 2019 with 84% of the vote. Her husband Oscar Goodman (not Oscar Goldman, who is a different person), was the Mafia’s favourite defence lawyer (https://mafia.wikia.org/wiki/Oscar_Goodman), representing most of their big names, as well as Mike Tyson and Don King. He also served three terms as Mayor, and also received 84% in his final election, until he was succeeded by his wife in 2011. When her term ends, they will have been Mayors for a straight 24 years between them, from 1999 to 2023. That’s if she gets that far - this interview has brought a ton of criticism and calls for her to resign or be recalled.

Her husband has a restaurant named after him downtown, and I remember reading a few stories about him being a mob lawyer etc.

Everyone wants things opened up, but that's no good if it fucks everything up for a long time after. Surely they should have people around them that can at least coach them. I get being authentic is good, but not when this happens.
