Go gone?

I use "Sky Go" quite a lot on my IPad.

I wanted to watch something last night, & a message came up, something like this....

Sky Go no longer supports devices on IO6, you must upgrade to (?) to continue watching. 

It worked fine - beautifully, as always. How do I know if I have IOS 7 or 8 or whatever?

My IPad is relatively old, about 5 years I think, but I do those Upgrade things every time I'm prompted so to do.

Settings > General

There'll be something like About which will tell you which version it is (though it might be different if you really are on some old version)

You are probably buggered.

Somewhere in settings there is a Software Update option, if your iPad is that old it probably can't be upgraded past iOS 6. My original iPad is stuck on 5.1, there isn't a single app I use that works on it now. It sits on the sofa for occasional surfing use but even then it will crash on quite a few websites that are just too complex for it to handle.

It's a great piece of kit, I'd miss it very much if I did not have it.

The leather cover has gone all curly wurly, but that's no prob.

They are giving away dozens of the new IPad Mini's Next Door this month, & I'm supposed to know what I'm talking about when people ask questions about them. My bluff frequency has gone through the roof. Not been called yet, either. oioi.

I see there is a new 'pro', which looks pretty nice, and a little bigger, so not sure what to do.

They can't know you that well next door, if they're asking you questions about iPads

Try uninstalling Sky Go (press and hold the icon until everything goes squiggly (technical term that :-)) then press the X) and then reinstalling it from the App Store.

I don't like touching things under the bonnet, in case I break it.

After I went to Settings >>> General today, I learned I have 5 Apps, too. How good is that?

The pro iPad ..have you seen one...it is flipping huge... It is nice but personally I think it's too big
