Martin Lewis put this on his email today to his punters.  Just thought i would add it here for anyone who is planning on big spends at xmas (plenty of pubs and restaurants are included as well if anyone has a works xmas party to pay for).  There are no catches (apart from driving to Morrison's store to purchase the cards).

I have done it before when i spent £1000 at PC world for a laptop.  I just went to Morrison's bought £1000 worth of PC world gift cards then went to PC world and spent the gift cards like i would cash.  You get £1 a litre off petrol (which is a free tank of petrol nowadays) when you pay for the gift cards at Morrison's.  The offer is bonkers.  I have no idea how they make it pay.  Don't ask questions just benefit.  If you are only spending £300 then you will get 30p a litre off petrol,  £100 10p a litre and so on.  There are 50 or more major retailers in the scheme.  See the link before.

Equally if you are planning on spending £3000 you will get 3 free tanks of petrol if you split the card purchases into 3 x £1000 spends at morrisons.  The link has a section with all the details on it.

I'm a nerd for this shit and saw this offer yesterday.

Another tip is if you get one of those 'Spend £60 to get £8 off your shopping' coupons in Morrisons, they work on gift cards. Whenever I get one of those I instantly get a £100 Amazon voucher with it because I do 90% of all my shopping with Amazon, so to me that's like a free £8, plus I get morrisons loyalty points, plus I use a cashback credit card.

Likewise, if you are about to buy something online, you can often get an unwanted online gift voucher for a few % off cost value here https://www.zeek.me/

Combine that with quidco and you are laughing (at a very small victory).

This card offer with morrision's have been running for years.  I assumed they had stopped it.  I took advantage of it years ago at PC world.  Would love to know how they justify it/make it pay.  Makes no sense to me at all.

I am not as big a nerd on stuff like this as Dave sounds to save £2 or a fiver.  However, if i am going to buy a laptop or a couple of ipads for a grand and can get £80 of fuel for free (this is effectively £80 in cash because you have to buy diesel every month anyway) just for driving to morrison's first (which is right next to PC world in stoke anywhere) then i am all over it.
