I am really liking one for the 3m Chase on the Tuesday.

The Young Master is a horse i have yet to back, so it's not some cliff inspired type punt.

I was impressed with its run at Ascot last time behind Wakanda, in a race that looks top form with Virak/Fingal Bay, just ahead of him(who franked the form on Saturday when 2/3 in the Peter Marsh), Pendra just behind and Ma Fuille further back, who has gone on to win since. The form looks rock solid.

The bit that really interested me was the fact he has his prep race in the Cleeve Hurdle on Saturday.

In the last 6 years, 3 previous winners of the 3miler have had their prep race in the Cleeve. The Druids Newphew last year, one of my all time my favourite horses, Bensalem in 2011, and Chief Dan George who won the year before(albeit, only because aforementioned Bensalem fell when about to dot up!GRRRRR).

Whilst it will have Sam Wally Cohen on board, there is plenty to like, and 20-1 looks a very nice price, for those that dare.

I am not expecting any great shakes on Saturday, a nice tootle round 30/40 lengths behind, won't put me off in the slightest, but because he has this run to go, I havn't put it up on TFT.

Could it be worth waiting until after the Saturday race, or will the bookies not consider the performance in the price?

Hi Mr KitKeeper.

Rock and a hard place really. I suspect as the race approaches a few more may notice the trend. The Young Master has always been a bit of a talking horse, and although he ran a stinker, he was sent off 3rd fav in lasts years very hot RSA. He went off 10-1 for the Hennessey.

I think he would have to be very close up to have his price smashed in, but one of those, always out the back, pick up the pieces/run on never nearer than at finish, type of rides, could see him close to joint fav..ish.

I suppose to "cliffs" it.
He caught my eye because at 20s, I thought he was a big price based on past exploits/reputation. It was then I noticed the trend.
Cant see him being anywhere 20s on the day if he lines up. GL us!

Just realised that Druids is Mullhollands as well.

Gonna end up being one of my bigger ante post bets if I keep talking it up, as it costs me another wedge each time I do!

Long way to go yet and no idea which race he'll go for, but I haven't seen an effort like Tombstone made in defeat last time in a good while. Get this one on fast ground from off a proper pace and...

Just seen he's in at Leopardstown next weekend. WPMullins has 13 of the 21 entries for the race. Ridic.

O'Leary said that it'll be their Supreme horse, Chomps.

Got into some trouble last time out, and still finished very close.

Be a big bet for me. If he's running next weekend I'll have some on beforehand I guess. Min, Yorkhill and Bellshill also entered there. If it's Min v Tombstone I'd expect their prices to be closer together than for the Supreme.
