Hi Tighty.

It has been lots of fun. Looking ahead I think you should run it every time we go up £1,000. I would think about making it like the last man standing competition. Each bet has to be greater than evens and it runs until we have a winner left. Surely TK wouldn't begrudge splashing out £50 out of every grand he makes !

Anywhere I can watch the third set of this anyone?

Also Mere what do you think about the chances of both of these ladies and Muguruza in the French net week? Is it all draw dependent?

At 10am this morning we have the clash of the Titans.

Carla Suarez Navarro plays Timea Bacsinszky in round 3 in Rome.

bergeroo has CSN at 22/1 e/w for the tournament.
MereNovice has TB at 33/1 e/w for the tournament.

The bookies make Bacsinszky a slight favourite.
We will have to wait and see.

Really enjoying this - appreciate the time and effort you are putting in to it.

My selection for today is Areen in the 4.15 York, 20pts win @ 11/2.

Bet365 if you have £5 in your account.
It's very topsy-turvy!

I'll respond on the rest when the match is over.

Ms Bacsinszky wins 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 in a match that really could have gone either way.
TB won the first 3 games, CSN won the next 5, TB won 2 then CSN won the last 2 of the first set.
CSN was also 4-2 up in the 2nd set and served for the match at 5-4.
TB rather dominated the 3rd set.
I wouldn't say that it was the highest standard but it was certainly tense!

The French Open starts a week on Sunday.
I'm not sure that Azarenka will be fit enough by then to challenge.
Halep will likely struggle with her confidence despite winning in Madrid. Not being able to have her coach, Darren Cahill on court in a Grand Slam event will hinder her.

I think the three you mentioned can all run deep.
Muguruza will (likely) be seeded 4 and the other two will also be in the top 16 as well.

My long-shot hope was Kasatkina who I expected to have an excellent clay-court season but it hasn't materialised.

I think Serena Williams might win it, though. Smiley

Who do you fancy?

Fine by me, as long as we can find someone to do the Admin.

Vince has been immense this week, really sweated the thread, but we can't reasonably expect him to repeat that too often.

That apart, yes yes yes, the thread has been a revelation, & a real eye opener, & everyone posting in a well-mannered way with good heart.

If I win I shall be donating any proceeds to Tikay's Vegas staking charity.

You do remember we're doing this because tikay has won £10,000 in tax free cash monies because of us all, right? Cheesy

I shall be following the EvilPie model of retaining winnings, although I might possibly stretch to a tall latte for him if I win the comp.
