(Yet) another article on someone sitting near or seeing one of the main names from Black Friday:

http://www.pocketfives.com/articles/wsop-danielle-andersen-confronts-howard-lederer-over-wsop-return-592436/

I'm interested in people's views, not on what happened, but on how you'd react if you had stumped up 10k to play in the World Championship event, trying to get a life changing sum of money, and Mr L came and sat next to you.

Clearly, if you've lost a lot of money in Black Friday, your blood might well be boiling a little more heavily and it's an extreme version of the (all too common) story in poker of sitting next to someone who has grimmed or otherwise owes money. Plenty of Hedge Fund managers and you could probably throw a lasso in the Amazon room and hit a person with a criminal record. Of course, Black Friday feels far more personal, even if you didn't lose any money.

Again, though, can you afford to let this affect your A-Game? Should you go a step further and try to capitalise on the rage of others? Or is it purely about vengeance? Is it really worth it? I've put a poll up for interest.

Do you adjust your play against him? He is likely to be bluffing less, right? Plenty of spite calls out there. If you are last to act after he has bet and someone else has called, could your calling range be wider than normal to reflect the greater number of spite calls out there?

What would you do?

I'd ask if he could recommend a good lawyer. He must know plenty.

I don't understand why Lederer gets so much flack and people like Hellmuth, Juanda, Lindgren, Ivey etc etc get off relatively scott free.

What happened at UB was worse than the events at FTP (IMO obv) and Hellmuth was a major shareholder and huge shill for the site.

In answer to the question, I think five years is more than enough time to get over it.

I wouldn't act or behave any differently towards Lederer than I would towards any other player.
