Looking for a nice place for a country pub lunch or a nice town/village to visit with family. Somewhere between Birmingham and Leics/Derby. Maybe near A41/M41, somewhere around Ashby De la Zouch/Burton type area perhaps?

Any suggestions? Thought I would try here as I reckon there are quite a few East Midlanders on the board!

Not familiar with areas so don't know if Ashbourne is what you're looking for.

One of the best meals I've had, went there on way back from Alton towers, amazing food and drinks in their garden
