PKO so the turn and river sizings seem a bit more value heavy than normal. We have a very weird range in this spot and it felt like either way I'd be making a mistake. However, looking back there aren't too many flushes that want to take this line from first position and there are many high card only diamond hands which do want to play this way. Seeing a set wouldn't be a huge surprise I guess, (apart from 99) and this is a better bluff catcher than AdTs for example.

Villain is on the tighter side, and I think this is a big tournament for him.

I'm not suprised this hand hadn't had any comments. I just frazzled my brain a little thinking about it. I like the c/c otf but I think a 70% donk is sexier vs the traditional utg range.

It's his 1.3psb ott setting up a 1.0psb river jam. I just don't see him doing this with sets or made flushes with our flop line? But I can totally see it from 99+ with a diamond and especially broadway hands with a diamond, it's also obviously sweet that we block the majority of flopped sets narrowing his value range considerably. This is probably 2006 thinking but I think if we call turn we need to call non diamond rivers?

Depends what he thinks of our turn range. He might feel like he's folded out all but my strongest hands on the turn an's give up on the river. He might lol pile cos I "never have a flush here".

I'm still really unsure too. Might actually get the ole pio solver out for this one

Seems like a horrible hand to call with, much prefer pair + diamond blocker. I don't know mtts anywhere near as well as i used too but hes barrelling large sizings into  totally uncapped range - ranges infact if we look at flop - , i would be amazed if he was jamming a set for value after using these sizings, and its pretty hard for him to be bluffing without specifically holding  .

Breaking down his range pre which takes this line, we can give him  Kx,  Qx,  Jx, 10x and id imagine a small scattering of  Xx. Compare that to all  Xd combos, every suited diamond broadway combo and the rest of the diamond combos he opens. Pretty sure hes value heavy. Also taking into account its a PKO / hes playing above his usual limits and you've got him tagged as tight. I know what river option id be taking. Also, lets say for a fact this call is winning (which im almost sure its not), its shaving such little EV vs theoretical ranges in a sizable tournament, preserving a 100bb stack depth should surely take priority. We must have an edge in entering the tournament so why not press that in better spots.

Fwiw id fold turn for 1/4 of stack with middle and bottom pair in PSKO when our equity vs ranges is pretty low and river is likely always getting followed through based on sizings, saves getting in shit spots like this.

Like i said i rarely play tournaments now tho, might have juts spent 5 mins typing garbage Tongue
