Cash game in Berlin. The blinds are 2/2 euros with a max buy in of 500. The casino is opening especially early when the poker festival is on, so this is the first game of the day. We started 4 handed and have been playing for 30 minutes. No large pots at all so far. I've managed to be quite aggressive a couple of times and taken posts down postflop with draws/bluffs which I didn't show.
Lojack (500) opens to 12. He is a hipstery looking guy with a cloth cap and a goatee. He has played few pots so far and I don't think we played together before. Interestingly his chips are in 3x100s and mostly the rest in 20s, wheras the rest of the table has the standard stacks of 10s and
.
I have pocket deuces in the cut off and I flat call, I have a stack of 370. This seems pretty standard.
The blinds fold.
Flop (pot 28)
258 rainbow
Hipster guy checks and I elect to check back. It is a pretty dry board and although he might check call one street with ace high, I'd rather let him hit something.
Turn (pot28) - the turn is an offsuit king
258K
He now bets 18. I elect to raise to 46. Thoughts? I think I can call or I can raise, but if I raise I think I need to make it bigger. Personally I think a raise is best.
River (pot 120) - the river is another king
258kk
He now checks to me and I elect to bet the full pot. I bet 120. I want to get paid the maximum from a king.
Interestingly he asks how much I have in my stack behind which is now a bit messy looking after two bets. In tournaments I would usually not answer this. But I cut my chips out and stack them and said 'about 200' (perhaps this is a tell from me)
Well I got action because he now check raises me all in!
I have a full house, but it is the worst full house.
Snap call? Hero fold?
