Lol.

Sometimes I think it's wrong (it usually isn't) and I lose concentration while thinking about it.

Just assume it is right.  I can't remember seeing one that is obviously wrong.  Love it when you think you have trapped your opponent good only for the display of doom to let you know you are only 2%.  3 hearts ffs.

I can assume it's right but I don't want to watch it. I want to watch the cards instead but the equity display is so mesmerising that I can't ignore it.

I googled it and people say you can turn it off in settings but I can't see how.

Settings > Game play > Show/Muck hands then untick show chances of winning when all in.

Thank you. No wonder I couldn't find it.

if it looks off, then there was a debate as to whether it took into account dead cards.

not sure if a consensus was reached as to how it deals with dead cards.

Yes I heard that too but I don't know for sure.

Also, why do RNG's generate cards as and when they are required instead of having a virtual pack shuffled once each hand?

Ladbrokes used to work like that. They had a 'Rabbit hunter' button that the punters used to love.

"He had aces. I passed my 66 and guess what the next card was?"

stars do have a stable virtual deck for each hand.

no matter your action / timing the hand plays out the same  - the deck is set at the start of the hand

full tilt for example generated each card on the fly - with the remaining deck being constantly 'shuffled' until the action is closed.

Are you sure teddy?

I always understood that to be the way that Stars works but It's literally years since I've looked into it.

From what I've read teddy is right, stars has a static deck and full tilt had a constant shuffle

Not that it matters to the game ofc, but it gave the 2+2 conspiracy theorists plenty to be getting on with
