The Shipping Forecast comprises 31 coastal & offshore areas around the British Isles, & they are read out "geographically clockwise", starting in the north, down the east, across the south, & back up the west.

Beat that for incred triv.

Never knew that, no, but it's not as fascinating as my one. Did you know that about the Shipping Forecast? Thought not.

Anyone who listened to the cricket on the radio (old radio 4 as it was) probably knows that, they interrupt periodically during the day to read it. I knew anyway....

Both the below are amazing rather then mildly interesting shipping forecast facts Wink

JK Rowling was the first person to earn a Billion $$$$ in book sales.

There are more chickens in the UK then people right now.

My two favs are....

Gale Force 11 (Violent Storm)

Gale Force 12 (Hurricane Force)

Anyway, fascinating as it is, let's not be fixated by the Shipping Forecast.

Football Stadium Architecture, anyone?

London's Sewer system?

JK Rowling was the first person to earn a Billion $$$$ in book sales.

It would have been God for his blockbuster book The Bible but he instead went for the marketing strategy of just leaving copies lying around in hotel rooms.

This one always surprises me.

Jamie Oliver is the second largest selling author in the U.K. after JK Rowling and has a net worth in the region of £300 million!
