Can we call full time and avoid the second half? Fantastic first half from Scotland. Amazing what a difference when you take your chances.

  win or lose

Some pressure by Ireland in that second half - but we managed it - didn't expect to be top of the table at any point - will take that Cheesy

Sick to the back teeth of glorious defeats. So glad to have a win, especially managing to withstand the Irish pressure (just).

Well it's more wide open now than most thought with you lads winning and a poor England just scraping a win....

If England play like that against either Scotland or Ireland, they'll get beaten. Fascinating opening day.

Decent win by Scotland, an actual dawn on the horizon?

We also need Italy to get their arses together, a strong six nations gives us all a better chance of beating the Southern Hemisphere sides.

wish we could get 2 divisions in european rugby a few side out there nearly as good as italy that could improve if they got regular games with the bigger nations

imagine 2 leagues of 4 teams playing home and away each season with promotion relegation

wont happen though as the big 5 couldnt afford to drop into a 2nd level

Not only that, Italy would fall off the face of the earth if they didn't have 6 nations to aim for. They need to find a way to give Georgia a fair shot at improving faster by way of more games somehow or another....

Add Romania into the list. Need to find a way of getting them some games vs the bigger sides not just friendlies.

this is what one team did to counter what the chiefs did in the S18 and where Italy got it from

Poite specifically didn't allow England to pull players in to form a ruck, so until they realised that the best counter is to pick and go right through the middle it was a tough watch
