Nightclub DJs have zero talent. It's no different to me going up to the front and playing a Nik Kershaw record. And then when it finishes playing a Duran Duran record on the adjacent record player.
Yeah this. I used to go clubbing back in the 'superclub' era (Gatecrasher, Cream and all that) and the fawning over bloody DJs was unbearable. I remember some dopey lad coming up to us bragging he had Paul Oakenfold's autograph and he was devastated when me and my mate said "he is just a bloke who plays records:. Great era and we were all guilty of falling for the marketing nonsense. We all paid fortunes to get into the clubs (which all went to the  's effectively). Remember queuing outside in sub zero temps for 2 hours at Progress in Derby in 1994 to see Pete Tong and Jeremy Healy. They were all stealing a very good living. Haha, our ages must not be far apart, we used to go to progress! |

Aye, wtf is that all about. My new sales director is a vegan, I told her I don't trust non meat eaters. Went down well. Take your vegan ideals to someone who gives a fuck. She was wearing some batshit crazy t-shirt last week about being an ocean pirate and protecting fish so I ate tuna mayo for 4 solid days. I even put fish pie in the work micro, i don't like fish pie but it was a victory. |
