I've been having some great conversations at the tables recently. I'm going to post some hypothetical situations that have come up. Here's one.

1. How much would you pay to have the knowledge of tomorrow's Man Utd vs Chelsea FA Cup result? You'd know it with 100% certainty.

Got to think in terms of how much you can get on between now and the game. E.g. if the answer is your net worth - well now you don't have any £ to bet on the game. How much could you borrow in 24 hours? How could you convince anyone that it was guaranteed return? Can write in %ages of net or ££ figures. Assume there wont be any problem getting paid, no investigation or whatever.

Do we just get to know who wins or the exact score and who scored?

I'd imagine the worst odds on a correct score have to be 5/1 or so? Just a guess I don't bet on football.

If we only get to know the W/L/D bit then the best odds are about evens? Again that's a guess.

I could probably lock up £250k through personal savings/shares and family and friends. within 24 hours if It was on a working day, Id sign guarentees with those who have assistsd that should anything go wrong Id repay in full, also id offer them 10% juice.

Fun question.

Well if you know exact score and nothing else you can still bet hundreds of very liquid markets.

1x2, all handicap markets, all goals O/U markets (total & each team), BTTS yes/no, win to nil yes/no, correct score (obv), then all the specials markets (O2.5gl BTTS ets), once you've gotten through all that you can go to betfair and lay everything that doesn't come in. How much fun, just printing.

If you knew the match details, who scores, time of goals, # of card, # of corners etc then that's even more fun!

£500k. Then i'd be beg/borrowing/stealing from anywhere possible, offering people 25% freerolls to put bets on, offering 20% vig on 3day loans etc, try get some credit accounts somewhere, sell things, take everything to the pawnshop etc, actually sounds fun Smiley

Try and get a photo taken with the ref. Use this as the evidence? Maybe fake an email? Imagine borrowing everything you can and getting it on only having to grab an extra £5 for a pint whilst the games on.

Is this hypothetical game fixed, or have we somehow tyravelled in time to learn the result.

If it's the former, the info is worth a great deal less than the latter.

You might end up in hundreds of thousands of debt and not get paid by the bookmakers...
