Big Sam has just pretty much said why he'd be a great candidate for the next England manager on Sky Sports - pretty much said he wants the job (without actually saying it of course!)

Yeah i seen that.

Bolton in the past has said they would let Sam leave for the England job with no hassle at all, but another Prem club will have to pay big compensation

Personally I can't see big Sam as the next England manager. Then again I don't think there is any strong English candidates. Alan Curbishley is a reasonable shout but lacks the top level european experience. I see Stuart Pearce has put himself forward. I like the guy but maybe it's a tad to soon for him then again Van Basten is doing a good good with Holland with no previous experience.

Whilst I'm personally in favour for a home grown manager with no strong candidate I would like to see either Guus Hiddink or Big Phil as the next manager. Both of these guys are not afraid of making those big decisions during a game unlike Sven who will never sub Becks no matter how bad a game he is having.

I too would like Hiddink to be the next England manager. If it had to be an English manager I would have Sam Allardyce, the guy is different class imo.

IMO O'Neill and Bg Sam are not cut out for the job.

I would like to see someone other than a long ball merchant.

Baron,

i like ye but those that actually watched o neill`s teams knew that there was a lot more than long ball involved...he had a wide variety of tactics - dont confuse the ball just short of the front 2 as a long ball...

That is definitely a negative point, a very very negative point.

It would be a joke if he got the job, without being able to speak a word of English.

Bring back Adam Crozier!!!

Now the question is to lay or not to lay - £260 win for a 4£ stake. I picked 3 managers and am lucky that he is one of them
