Is anyone aware of any chain bureau be change that buy back 500e notes for GBP? Only got one but having trouble finding anyone who will accept it.

Alternatively if there is anyone in Edinburgh who wants it or anyone who will be in Leeds for GUKPT next week want it at 5% discount from spot let me know.

As far as I was aware, Bureau de Change are not allowed to accept €500E notes these days.

They are still legal tender, but very few people or even businesses will accept them.

https://www.thomasexchangeglobal.co.uk will buy them for a 1% vig but they're only in London. The €500 note was withdrawn from production by the ECB last year so changing it won't be easy.

Msg Middy (Hatthehole on here) he'll almost certainly be playing GUKPT leeds and travels around Europe a fair bit, -5% he'll probably take it off your hands.

I have changed them with ACE FX in Canary Wharf or London Bridge - just need to show source of income so I just printed Hendon Mob and was fine - need passport too.
