Work mate (casual punter) goes into William Hill

"2-2 England tonight pls"

Takes price at counter 18/1 ( checked-correct price from their counter screen)

Comes to me and I tell him wtf its 28/1 online with them!!...that cant be right.

Angry..he goes to get his money back and the cashier says..."dont worry walk 5 ft to our machine in the shop and the machine will give you 28/1" (online prices!)

What a rip off/mad system it is.

Its ridiculous actually, he'll probably never bet in a will hill again now, whereas they could have said "ahh yeh - in future use the machines as you get online prices there and tends to be better, this time though i'll void this bet and you can take 28s on the machine"

He'll probably really appreciate that, whereas if I were him now i'd never bet at a WH again.

Nothing to do with gambling just good old fashioned customer service.
