He's done it!

Kyle Edmund beats Andreas Seppi 6-7 7-5 6-2 6-3.

He's into his first ever grand slam quarter final.

Good on him.  He could be swapping places in the rankings with Murray pretty soon at this rate.

It was pretty sad to read all the Konta comments (again) this week.  Presumably she didn't have that much choice about coming here at 14, and seems genuine when she says she sees the UK has her home.  She seems pretty articulate; she got the pitch about right on Margaret Court, and she was playing as well as anyone in the first half of last year.

But all you get whenever she plays is a line up of she is Australian/playing at home/Hungarian and she is f'in useless/lucky to have got to the Wimbledon semis.  Must be so hard for her to read it.  Hope she doean't.

Oops, what was this thread for again?

Go on Kyle, keep up the good work.

They must be much higher vs Kyrgios than Dimitrov?  Dimitrov is more solid whereas Kyrgios can be as good as anyone one day and just throw it away the next.

Guessing he'd be about 2/1 vs Dimitrov on Edmund's current form; shorter vs Kyrgios?  Depends how the bookies view his progress.  He'll be up to about 25 in the World if he wins that game and Murray is going to be 20ish and have more points to defend.

You can get 4 on Edmund to beat Dimitrov with Betfair right now.   I think he is a bit better than that right now.

Their match at Brisbane two weeks ago was very very close

I covered that above.  He is 26 on the ATP live rankings site.  Murray is 20.   It really shouldn't be long; he is one match away from UK number 1, and if he doesn't win that, Murray will likely just lose points through not playing.

And boom.

Cheers kukushkin and Horneris.  I put a bit more on after getting backed up.

You can get 3.9 for his match in the morning.   Feels if 4 was value the other day, this must be too.

Don't read Tal's post from the other day about underdog's bottling it until after you have got your bet on.
