Steve Wynn seems to be in a spot of bother.

I read that this morning.

I got a good price and have already booked this year.  I didn't realise he was a Trump supporter too.

Staying there becomes a bit less appealing this morning.

Will have to do some research to find out which hotels in Vegas are not run by scumbags.

All publicity is good publicity?  After this morning's research, Google is sending me Wynn ads.   I assume it is them amyway.

Cosmo is the spot, Doobs. No idea who runs the place, but my new favourite hotel on the strip, and good deals on lowcostusa, too.

Hate the Cosmo.  Really loud and flashing fruit machines everywhere.  And upstairs is like the shopping centre in Watford.  Opinions and all that!

Weird, that. Fruities everywhere in Vegas Cheesy

I didn't actually notice that it was any noisier than any other place on the strip. Other than Vdara, for obvious reasons.

Most resorts have a row of shops, so that's no different from Wynn, Bellagio etc. Can't comment on Watford shopping centres, as I've never been there Grin

From a room/food/service perspective, it's the best resort I've stayed at. V&P still has the best selection of restaurants, imo. However, they wanted almost double for a standard room, compared to what Cosmo charge for a Fountain View Terrace Suite.

I have had a drink in the Cosmopolitan and it did seem a bit flash.  Guess the location is pretty good for Aria/Planet Hollywppd tournaments.

Maybe I should be looking at the Golden Nugget?

Heard great things about cosmo rooms althouogh certainly looks pricier than the average.

Love the tapas restaurant on the top floor. Jaleo.

Not very surprised to hear this about Steve Wynn

Can walk out the front door, do a left, and about a 5min walk up to the Bellagio.

Go out the back door and you're on the walkway over the strip to PH & Aria.

It's a bit flashy, but much more laidback than the Wynn, for sure. I don't get looked at like I'm in the wrong building, like I did every night going into the Tower Suites @ Wynn.

Rush Tower at Nugget is very nice, and I'll be there for the first 2 1/2 weeks this summer.

They've actually just refurbed them all, and they look even better than they did before.

Stayed there last summer, and got 10 nights in a 1br Fountain View for ~1.6 inc resort fees.

Eaten at é, which is inside Jaleo, and that was superb. Debating on having another spin this year, but that is expensive!

I don't get that at the Wynn.  Maybe stay away from the Tower suites.  I looked at the Golden Nugget last night.  It wasn't nearly as cheap as I was expecting for the nice rooms. Would stay there of I got half rake for their O8 tournaments and if they were 500% more helpful on the tax reclaim.

It's not on their general rates, no. The Cyber Sale is when to book them, as it's like 1/3 off overall, I think it is. I've got 16 nights there for about $1.7k including resort fees.

If you cash in one of the comps at any other room, they'll do it for you, I'm sure. Maybe worth seeing if you can chuck someone $20 to fix you up at the Venetian.

Wish I had the hair to prove you wrong.

I did try at the Wynn to get it sorted, and spoke to half the poker room in the discussion.  They said they couldn't help.  I can't remember the issue now, but guessing they were limited to who they can reclaim for.   I think issuing an ITIN is fine as the Bellagio used to do that for you back in the day.

Ha!

I remember John T getting his fixed up that way at the Bellagio. Bunged them $20/50 or something, so he had one before he started playing comps in 2008.

I'm a massive fan of the wynn but they are insanely arrogant, and gambling there is an utterly horrible experience. I'm on holiday, I'm having a drink, I'm having fun what I do not need is some snooty arrogant pittboss talking to me like i'm scum of the earth.

I find Venetian and Palazo even worse tbh. Massively begrudge giving them casino action. Bellagio/Aria/Ceasers etc I find better, my favourite place on the strip to gamble though is Margeritaville, by a LONG way. Win or lose i've never failed to have a great time there, somehow they seem to have not lost sight behind all the chrome and water features that they are a service business!
