I would highly recommend Mike mungers recent guest slot on econtalk podcast
He riffs about the future of the sharing economy and posits that in the same way as Amazon used to be a book store but now is much broader we will look back on the days when Uber was a mere taxi company. He argues that both are platforms and will likely be in competition for the dominance of the sharing economy (with one buying the other out)
He then goes onto imagine a system very much like the black mirror episode where our reputation will be so important (as well as being able to track others reputation) that our likes, recommendations and eBay like reputation scores will be centralised.
He is a fascinating mind and if you'd like to hear a polymath pontificate on the economic possibilities of blockchain, Uber Amazon and the internet of things then I cannot recommend the podcast enough
