lol my wife is a millenial and those two things were the first things she said - that it's basically just insulting the target demographic because it's not what they call themselves.


I thought it seemed like smart marketing - but that's probably because it was created by people like me; instead of the people they're after.

It is smart marketing, but not in the conventional sense. I can't see how these posters will actually attract these types of people to join the army.

The campaign has made headline news though, generated lots of debate. I suspect that is exactly what they were aiming for.

Maybe it was just a pisstake and they are so sick of useless snowflakes applying that they it was a deliberate tactic to try and keep them away!

I’m as good as ever, perhaps better, it’s not easy to measure. It’s hard to imagine a less impositing ‘tag team’, surely Mantis should be included in the ‘team’ as well. My frustration isn’t really with them, they are just archetypal examples of the problem that damages society/democracy. A silly target for my annoyance as individuals.

An interesting thing to do is read ‘The Black Swan’ by Taleb and every 50 pages or so take 5 mins to reflect on Adz/Mantis/Woodsey, constantly proving themselves ‘right’ and congratulating themselves and each other for it. They provide a perfect antithesis to that book.
