He is moaning as he was on the "chop bubble" - just 73 players left & he was hoping to negotiate 72 way business.

Ryan said monthly.

These new Grosvenor comps really are poor should’ve just done 100+10 straight tourneys would’ve been much more successful maybe call it the Goliath mini tour. Would’ve been marketed better

Guess you can charge what you like and people will stil show up.   151 runners already today in the GUKPT main and it is only 1A.

Overs/unders on readers of the small print?

To add some balance the Walsall 25/25 last weekend didn't even make the GTD or only just made it after routinely smashing double thhe GTD for years now the rake is 12.5%.  I think the one place the rake won't make a difference is probably the Vic.

The Vic always smashes it. They have struggled with some of the guarantees in the Deepstacks too and I believe laid off a bunch of dealers around the country.

The poker manager at the central Birmingham branch is leaving. Not sure of the details but not sure he wanted to go. I am not a reg there by any means but I thought he was really good at promoting the room. Poker clearly not a priority for the company.

Reading only just made the deepstack GTD of 12K. Just 22 players day 2 ...11 paid.

I don't think that follows.   They have a pretty big roster of pros now, and they are pushing this leaderboard, even if we are paying for the promotion budget - well we would be if we were all complete mugs.

Poker is going to be a bigger priority in some casinos than others?

From the GUKPT blog:

Registration has now closed here on Day 1a of GUKPT London. There has been a huge turnout of 175 entries, which is way up on the 132 that turned out last year.

It's like a who's who of LNP at the Vic tonight. Only played four hours of the Omaha comp and played with four faces.
