There didn't seem to be a thead for this, but there has been a(nother) spat on twitter about mark-up betweeen Doug Polk, Daniel Negreanu and Sean Deeb amongst others.

As a result, Sean Deeb has appeared on Joey Ingram's channel.  He is a bit marmite, I have never been much of a fan, but I think there are a lot of gems in this.  There are also bits that i find fairly disagreeable, but the bits about balancing kids, poker and marriage are very good.  I was interested to hear that Jason Mercier's solution seems to have been to virtually jack poker in.   There is a lot of other good stuff there too.

I don't particularly care for him, but thought on the most part he came across well there.

Yeah, this divide in Deeb is what I have found myself playing against him. A lot from him fairly interesting, and quite fun, and then he'll do something like I saw him do last year. Out of nowhere, he put down a quiet guy at the table, who wasn't a classic rec, but clearly it meant quite a lot to him to be playing at the WSOP. Deeb said to him that he seemed "a bit cleverer than he looked," and the guy looked gutted and didn't say a word after.

Say something like that to the wrong person one day, and wish he didn't live in the US.

He has obviously taken a dislike to this Johnnie guy, who by all accounts is a good winner in the 5/10 games. Absolutely coats him for charging ~1.4 for his package of what I presume is NLHE games, and in the same sentence says he has no problem with Joey's GF charging the same markup for her package that includes a $10k PLO.

You'll like this Tony

https://fullcontactpoker.com/a-common-sense-rewards-system/

There is a lot of truth in it, but there are a couple of flaws when applied to Stars.

1.  The rewards on stars don't go to losers either.  I am a long run loser on Stars and my chest rewards have been absolutely feeble since they started.  Thoygh there is a promo on at the moment where I have been getting $5 chests rather than the usual 2 cent ones.
2.  Saying Supernova Elite should never have existed, and I don't think it should have, still doesn't excuse the late withdrawal of it.

Other than that I do agree with much in the article.  Having said that, the rake in some games is making those games unbeatable, and I think there should always be a reasonable chance of the best players winning.

He seems so convinced he is correct. If he did manage to go deep it would be very interesting on what he would do when faced with opportunity to do a deal. A lot of the time it makes sense to deal when massive amounts are on the line, given the cap he has so much more upside to not dealing than a player ordinarily would.

Wonder which will come first?

Daniel's kids, or Tikay's staking package....

Party Poker are getting rid of HUDs and forcing everyone to change their alias.   My HUD broke a few months ago, so it could be good
for me.  Would love to see it on Stars.  As I am a logic wizard racist without a HUD, I already do tendencies by nationality, so get a headstart on others.   Though my thought process usually involves recognising some lunatic from Stars.

Party are planning to go with real names, no aliases at 25/50 and above soon.
