Your chips don't go in play until you sit down right? So why didn't Ferguson just get his ticket and then go and get a coffee or something?

Whilst in Vegas I read on someone's twitter that last year, Chris Fergusson used to join the late reg queue late on then move to the back if other's joined after him.  He was thus maximising his chance of a min cash for POY points.   It is clearly reasonable to late reg in the circumstances, but moving to back of the queue is absurd.  Should be a on the overall fair play rule.  If he did it again throw him out of POY standings too.

Obviously Vayo should be 'd if true.

Couldn't he go get a buffet and guarantee a min cash?

If you are at the late reg desk isn't it different to normal reg?   If you are going to give someone a round penalty for ducking a big blind with 20bbs (as I saw happen in the plo8), surely the same should apply if you late reg 20bbs?   I don't know the rules, and wondered off to get a coffee in level 1 after a 1 hour queue to reg.   I think 6 mins into level 1 is different to half an hour into level 9, though not sure where the line is.

Feels like it should be take seats immediately after reg closes and/or if they are running alternates.

Ah I get the angle now. The registration closes so all stacks should be in play, but if you are in the queue, your stack isn't in play. Yes sneaky!

Oh and I love calling people out who wander around to miss their big blind - once I have seen them see the table and then look or walk away. I usually stand up and shout Table 45?, over here mate!

Each to their own, but I think I'd find sharing a table with Will a little tiresome;

irksome
/ˈəːks(ə)m/
Learn to pronounce
adjective
adjective: irksome

irritating; annoying. "an irksome journey", synonyms: irritating, annoying, vexing, vexatious, galling, exasperating, displeasing, grating, disagreeable; tiresome, wearisome, tedious, trying, troublesome, burdensome, bothersome, awkward, inconvenient, difficult, boring, uninteresting; infuriating, maddening; informalpesky, cussed, confounded, infernal, pestiferous, plaguy, pestilent.

But it works for him I guess and, while he's still in fashion over there, they'll keep lapping up his schtick. Dave's got himself a cool story to tell at work bruh.

Never played with him (thankfully), so no opinion on his game, but he can obviously play. It's the insufferable yapping that I can't be doing with.

I'm all for talking with other players at the table, but that isn't fun. It's irritating Cheesy

Instant irritation and more worthy of the ‘FairPlay’ initiative’s attention than people wearing scarves.

I was moved to his table at a £500 in Nottingham and by the third hand of hearing his inane chatter I had had enough. I called clock when it got to him on the next hand. He seemed puzzled by this.

People like that are the only reason I still take headphones with me to play. Thankfully I didn't feel the need to take them out of my bag once this summer.

So if a player has 50% equity in a $100 pot, they can take $49.50 there and then rather than run out the board. If one player chooses this new option and the other does not, the player who has not chosen it plays the remainder of the hand against PokerStars, who keep the money if they win.
