$10,000 Main Event

Day two begins in an hour.

Thanks so much guys.

So, yes, rumours of the day 1F "Euro invasion" turned out to be greatly exaggerated. GG French guy was actually the only other player all day not from the United States. It was a nice table, which makes the end of day count slightly disappointing, but obviously it's completely fine. Structure just beautiful, going back to 84 bigs.

Table played really quite passive, on the cally side. I don't think anyone really got out of line all day, and that very much included Helmuth, who told us that he was just there to make day two, and was then a man of his word.

I think what happened with this unique day 1F, was 1) Not many Euros made it across, and 2) Given the perception of what the day would be, then very few very good American players were going to choose to play this flight.

Good luck, Stu.

About time a Brummie won the main. As I can't go this year, I guess it might as well be you.

Best of luck Stu.

Hoping for many more pages of updates.

$10, 000 Main Event

Bagel - its a new table draw

Early signs of the table draw seem very encouraging. Player on my left just defended his big vs seat 2 for 2k, and moved in for 25k into 5, 200... And won

$10,000 Main Event

Down to 70.3k

There's been alot of a limping nice table

UTG and UTG1 call at 400-800(800), I make it 3.3k with KQ

Both call. Flop AT7. Both check to me. Thought about it, but one problem is that I may have to call the river with KQ high, if one player calls, and it comes, say, AT733.

Check. Turn is AT75. UTG bets 1.5k into 12k, so i have to call.

River AT75T. He bets 1.5k again (that kind of table). Fold

$10,000 Main Event

76.2k

I may have produced the most boring chip graph in the history of the WSOP here, over the 11 hours play.

All fine, obviously.

$10,000 Main Event

Down to 58k

Had Aces for the first time.

Raise to 2.1k UTG. Cutoff calls, BB calls

  . I bet 4k into 8k. Both call.

. Not too pretty. I bet 9k into 20k. Just cutoff calls

River . I check. Really hoping for a snap check behind.

He bets 22k into 38k. I mean, he just has to have 2 pair plus. It would obviously be a great bluff with JT, T9 or T8, but I'm almost  sure that isn't what's going on.

Fold. Sigh

Feels a bit horrid, we block AJ pretty strongly too and there were 3 to the flop.

Just forget about it and move on.  gglgl
