Hi all, (easypickings= Stuart Rutter)

I am playing GUKPT Coventry, this Friday 25th August, day 1B. The buy is in £900+£100 (£1,000). They're always a real mix of players, but overall a good quality field. I'll sell at 1.1, and update on here. Min is 5%, and the prices are as follows:

5%- £55
10%- £110
20%- £220
30%- £330

Payment by bank or Crypto before the Friday noon start.

Morning Stu,

I'll take 5% (£55) if I may.

PM me your Bank Details please & I'll snap ship.

EDIT - a friend has passed me your account details, so I've now sent the £55 across.

Please acknowledge receipt.

£1000 GUKPT main event

17,400 approaching end of level one

UTG1 first hand I play. Raise to 300 at 100-100

Small blind 3bets to 900. Big blind snap calls

I should probably 4bet; the big blind is just never ever strong. But it would be a yukky 4bet fold, and, at least if I call, I'm playing in position, with the snap-call guy really restricting the barrel potential of the 3bettor.

3bettor bets 1.6k into 2.7k. Big blind again snap calls.

Kind of want to fold. But I can be basically 100% sure that I am beating the big blind, and fairly sure that the small blind will shut down on the turn with any hand that I beat. I call.

Turn is

Small blind bets 2.5k, big blind raises to 7k. Easy fold

SB folds. They tell each other they had KK and JJ, which there is no reason to doubt.

I wormed in on the conversation by saying I had QQ, and was informed I should have 4bet-folded pre as "at least you know where you are."

First lesson is always free.

Good luck, Stu. Get it won.

GUKPT £1000 main event

Nice full double hand before break, up to 34k.

Had  mid position 8 handed

Guy raises to 300 UTG.

It's the same guy who gave the free advice on "4betting to find out where you are." This is significant, and potentially completely crucial.

I 3bet to 900, he 4bets to 2,100.

I mean, if a 4bet finds out where you are, I guess I should give a dishonest answer?

This really feels like Kings. Maybe queens. Not AK. Feels that if I 5bet, a call and fold on the flop is of some likelyhood.

Flop is three clubs.

He bets 3.3k into 4.5k. I ship for 15.5k

He does have kings. He actually tanks, says he hates it. We go at least 3 minutes into the break.

He does call. And we hold.

£1000 GUKPT main event

Active young Brummie guy squeezed the button to 2,800 from 13k after my hijack raise, so 4bet all in with  and got it through

£1000 GUKPT Main event

Nice one.

Open   at 300bb. Lee French calls on button, BB calls

T32r. Nice.

Bet 1,500. Lee French calls.

T32Ar . Check check.

T32A4. I decided to value bet 3,000 into 5,000. He has a ten so much obviously.

I actually thought for a while he was going to bluff raise, which I would have to snap off given the lack of fives he has.

He called, and we won a nice one.
