Only Iran, but a nice lively start to the comp.

Looking forward to the British battle next week!

Haven't looked at a single write up on how things could play out, so who knocks us out on pens after the groups?*

Nah

I seem to remember that Scotland played Iran in a World Cup ‘back in the day’. Celtic was probably still in his nappies.

Just out of them. My first recollection of any football was the Gemmell goal v Holland. Didn’t quite appreciate how great it was at the time. Wasn’t enough for me to follow Scotland. Not entirely sure why.

I protested the world cup for a week or so, not for any particularly politicql reasons, just didn't like the prem being interrupted.

England probably wont win but, relative to the quality of the other teams this time round, should have as good a chance as for many years.

I remember that game very well. I was living in Vancouver at the time, sharing accommodation with two very passionate Glaswegians. The game was shown via satellite transmission at a concert venue, and there were very few Dutchmen in the venue where I was an honorary Scot. The place erupted when wee Archie chipped in his brilliant finish.

A week longer than me Cheesy

Been quite enjoyable thus far, though I've onyl been watching most games while I am working.

Love a few upsets, and some of the underdog tales are great!

Football wise, been one of the better world cups I've watched - also quite good not seeing pics coming back of marauding hoolies on the street.

Mate of mine been out there since the start and going to loads of games. He has been posting vids/pics of every one he has been to, and it looks great.

As for the booze bans and parties etc. He has been shitfaced from the first match Cheesy

Do the powers that be at ITV not know how to spell Morocco?

Why on earth do they abbreviate it to "MAR"?
