Yep, Negreanu lasted 3 hands. To be fair, he got it in with AA in Big O

$2,500 Big bet mix

Relative to what could happen (and indeed has between other seats), this is actually very uneventful.

$2,500 Big Bet Mix

Pot limit Triple draw

5 handed, UTG opens, I have (K)7432 hijack. Beautiful draw, but no need to 3bet. Call. Cutoff and button call

They actually all draw 2. 2-1-2-2

We don't catch, but do pair the 7. Especially now, there can't be many live cards left in this deck for these guys.

I haven't studied four way spots too much. I think this has to be an auto bet from me.  If it's close, the pairing of the 7 must swing it

I decide to bet 60% pot. Bet 3.6k into 6k. Two folds, UTG calls.

Miss . 7432A. He pots, for 13.2k.

It feels bluffy. But there's nothing I can do, but fold

$2,500 Big Bet mix

Pot limit Triple draw. Puke

I had just got up to 45k

Raise 8732. Small blind pots to 5.4k

He's splashing way too much. He just got in the AK72 one suit in PLO, with no fold equity.

He has 20k total. There's a case that I'm ahead of his range and should get it in. But, my edge vs his range is thin

I call

I make 98732.

Im basically certain he's going to pot after the first draw. He does, it leaves him 2k behind.

All in, he calls.42k pot

He draws one. Good news.

If he had patted, I've got a nasty decision. I think I would have broken.

We're now all in, with the two draws to come

Second draw: He draws one, I'm pat.

He pats pretty quickly. Massive sigh. I decide to pat. I'm only 12 outs to improve. He's been all over the place, and his quickness of pat may be an attempt to make me break

He has made 86543. It's nasty. He was in  bad shape. He had at least a gutshot; it's not impossible that he had an open ended straight draw

(In terms of my decision to break, I was actually drawing dead)

(He actually declared "86 perfect," when actually he had the opposite, the worst possible 86. Obviously not an angle at all, but obviously an indicator that the field is still nice!)

Shame, that was a big pot.

$2,500 Big bet mix

42k. One level to go. Re-entry was not required (can we chalk that down as a win?)

$2,500 Big bet mix

Pot limit Omaha hi-lo

Nice. Clicked the right button every Street.

Cutoff Raises to 2k. Defend Big with

Check- check

two hearts.

I bet 3k into 5k. He calls

Something about his re-check of his cards, and the flow of his call, make it really feel that two of his cards are A3

two hearts . That's a nice card.

I check, he bets 10k into 11k

He's not repping well. Feels like this is going to be a call. Need to check. Do his A3s have enough with them to get through the turn, but need to bluff the River? I guess there's enough AK3 and so on, despite me blocking AQ3 hands.

His polarising size is good news. Surely most of his houses bet the two pair or set that they are on the flop. He's not really repping much more than A22 here.

But, we then come to the whole problem, that if he is aware that this is a poor bluff line, does it mean it's one that he won't take? I have to decide that it's just more likely that he's not considering it a poor bluff line.

Call. He has AQ53.

Up to 58k

$2,500 Big bet mix

Finished for the day. 48,200. On one hand, it's arguably below par given the opportunities of this tournament. But, on the other, I'm happy given the circumstances

That was a grind. I don't want that to sound like I think this is some kind of tough gig. It's a game of cards, and this tournament is a very fun version at that. But, in the poker sense, that was a grind. Guy on my left had what has to be the room chip lead from wire to wire. Everyone was too loose, just had to wait for hands, which didn't really come.

Our most successful game: Big O

Our least successful game: Pot limit Triple draw

Most fun game:  Apart from the losses, probably Pot Limit Triple draw

Least fun game: No Limit holdem. Think they could take it out the mix, really

2pm tomorrow

$2,500 Big Bet Mix

I'll probably hit a pattern again of doing briefer, chip count orientated updates on day two, just for full focus mode
