Totally understand the rationale for why it may or may not have been the correct fold. But with the benefit of knowing he had the AA, it proved to be an excellent decision. VWP sir

must be tough getting dealt nothing playable in last few hours, well done staying in and best of luck tomorrow. does seem mental not to play on till bubble bursts. do they redraw tables? i guess that now at least you will get to see exactly where you stand once the chip counts are released, and can see hopefully a dozen real shorties who are forced all in first orbit or two. you must be ready for a cold beer after a long 3 days. whatever happens , you still have some great tourneys to come , and your not on a building site in shepherds bush at 9am on a monday morning.

Thanks so much Phil/Henry/titaniumbean

Yes, the decision to not play I think is strange. Are they almost doing it for the drama?

I'm seat 6, and its a draw for button. So, some size of sweat there. Although, it will be quick, only 0.6% of the field to be knocked out. We may not even have to pay a blind

Day three of Main

Thanks guys.

Right, sat down ready to start.  Think we're 11 til money, not 10. Which would mean there has been a false knock out? Smiley

So, obviously no chickens are being counted, but the spot of getting in my 10bb after the bubble bursts is an interesting one.

First of all, it's funny how emotionally it feels less significant, can almost feel like some kind of "bonus." The two situations are worth almost exactly the same ECV, but compare getting in 60k after the bubble, to somehow getting in a 60k starting stack on the first hand of the first day, and you would see completely different reactions from the players involved!

The main question is, does the fact its the Main Event alter the correct range to get in at all? There can definitely be a "relief of bubble bursting" factor where players are happy to get it in lighter. Maybe that is less in 2023, but it's definitely a factor. So, the question for me is, is there an expectation from opponents that a player with my stack situation will get it in shorter? I think maybe my answer is that I should adjust with a small tightening of range.

Day four of Main

First hand, fold

Euan Mcniholas (Seems a very nice guy) stalls (completely fair)

Still not hand for hand, which I think has to be a strange decision.

Second hand, fold

Some serious stalling going on now

Day four of Main

Fold third hand

Clock called for the first time

Good banter around the table, as people joined in the "10,9,8" countdown
