3k PLO six max

No good. Two limpers, even at the 600-1200(1200) level, and we can't catch a hand to go with

Wonderful run in the Main, Stu. Fabulous to read and follow.

Keep grinding in this one.

3k PLO six max

Sigh, it's a disappointing one to bust out of. 25k at 600-1200(1200)

on the button, new French cutoff raises to 2.8k.  We pot, to 10.2k. He calls

Leaves about 70% of a pot sized bet

two spades Two Diamonds looks really good.

He checks, we pot. His insta call is bad news.

He has two hearts. That's not nice

Holds on two spades Two Diamonds

It's the $1,500 short deck tomorrow

Congrats Stu.  Great run and gives us something to aim at next year.

Need to manage expectations a bit better with the long morning thread though Smiley

$1,500 Short deck no limit Holdem

The schedule has always been great, but this year really is special. And this is one of the cool additions.

Hopefully won't be necessary, but I think it makes sense to allow the two re-entries if required, as that and the remaining two events would then take us to the max buy-in that we set with the package.

Short deck I would say came in about 4 years ago, seemed like it might become a major part of the poker scene 2 or 3 years ago, and maybe has waned a little. However, it remains a really interesting variant.

Let's have a quick guide to Short Deck

- Deuces to gives are taken out the deck, hence it being sometimes called 6-max holdem

- There are no blinds, just an ante, with the button paying a double ante, and acting last pre-flop. Limping can often be fine, and limp-raising all-in from early position for some stack sizes is a fairly big thing.

- The biggest factor that shapes strategy is that any out becomes more likely to hit in a shorter deck, and so all equities run closer. AK is not far behind KK, JT suited not in such bad shape against AA, and any straight draw is more likely to get there.

- However, things work opposite with a flush. With fewer of the suit in the deck, flush draws become harder to hit, and hence the one change in rules is that a flush beats a full house

Just in line now, should be in before end of level two
