$10,400 Main Event

138,800

Nothing really has happened since the big stuff.

Table is overall good

One guy is clearly a very good pro. Pro number two got moved

Apart from that, they're fine. Guy from the strange pot hasn't done anything at all strange since,  making it all the more strange.

$10,400 Main Event

Frustrating time against bad, passive opponents

HJ limps at 500-1000(1000). SB calls, I have , and make it 3.5k. Both call

three diamonds

I bet 5.5k into 11k, HJ calls, SB folds

three diamonds

Not a great card. Some potentially strange things start happening with his body language. However, only one hand type just became the nuts,  and JT without hearts didn't necessarily call the flop

It's close. Body language stuff is far from certain,  and two things are in my favour.

- I can get away with a 'many chips' bet size like 6,700 into 22k, which he won't realise is as small at it is

- If I bet and he raises, it's as close to a 'certain ' folds as it comes

Bet 6,700. He fairly quickly raises to 26k. Fold

$10,400 Main Event

Table has gone from fine, to good, to really good.

Guy just sat down.  I managed to have a sneaky Google of his name, and he is a nightclub owner from Denver.

Only downer is that the structure is surprisingly quick; slightly quicker than a GUKPT structure

Second break, 107,600

Table amazing. Must be one of the top 3 tables in the room

Two limps for 1.2k. Button raises to 10k.  Both call.

$10,400 Main Event

Wow, the nightclub owner, in the 8 hands he has been at the table ,has

- opened to 6,500 at 1.2k BB
- Sized down, and opened to 6,000 at 1.2kk BB
- Limped for 1.2k, and called a raise to 10k
- Been greeted with a big hug by Chance Kormuth. I don't know what the relationship is, but I imagine he's not his coach.
- Made three bets to 6x ,6x and 7x
- Folded a hand

The craziness sadly hasn't involved us.

Edit to 'top 3 tables ':

I'll be amazed if this isn't the best tables in the room. And it's a very big room

$10,400 Main event

Let's go

Correctly heroed crazy night club guy

He raises to a small-for-him 5k. Defend SB with

Check Check

He bets 10k into 13k. Call

He bets 42k into 33k.

Wow. Its this I've been watching him for. But we haven't got deep enough yet to find out whether he's accidentally getting light value,  or weird merges

The worry is whether he can randomly show up with AT or J8

But, for obvious reasons and ones too long to write, I just about decide to call

He has

Let's go. 185k

Just wow, can't quite believe the crazy events of today

Nightclub owner is, and I'm not exaggerating, probably the craziest player I have ever seen

Someone was always going to win a bizarre,  huge pot.

And, luckily,  aside from the nerves it put me through, it was us

CO raises, he calls button,  I squeeze to 13k from BB with

Just he calls. He has me covered

.

Just has to be right to check, and play for him to bet big   on two streets

That happens

two spades

He bets 20k into 31k on the turn.

On the river, I check and he bets 80k into 71k

Just wow

Many thoughts . But they have to end in a call

Call, we're good. Massive pot

Up to 285k. Let's goooo

$10,400

Dinner break

Wow

This has got crazier,  and crazier, and crazier

Nightclub guy, with 4 hands to go, says he's had great fun,  but doesn't want to make it to the dinner break with 'just' 85k.

How the other half live.

4th and 3rd last hand- semi crazy stuff happens
2nd last hand- he folds

Last hand

HJ limps. He waves his hands and says 'all in ' from the button

We have in the BB.

Wow. What's really confusing now is, why did he fold the penultimate hand?

It's all quite complicated,  but, for the third time, it's a call.

He has two spades.

It's a 175k pot.

It's wonderfully clean

three diamonds
