Main Event day 3

Card dead at a table where one increasingly needs a hand.

Main Event day 3

The Summer ended as it has been much of the time. In a brick wall..

The hand and spot came. in the BB with 90.5k (30 bigs). Seat 4 (lojack, South American, good active) raises to 6.5k. Seat 6 (cutoff, old American, inexperienced and passive) makes it 18k.

Think about all options (call, 4bet, all in), but it has to be right to 4bet. However, he's not light, and he's unlikely to fold. Feels like QQ and KK play themselves pre. (This actually turns to be wrong).

I play it fishy (which feels fine, only problem bring that that will be transparent to seat 4, but seat 4 only) and make it 32k.

Seat 4 fold, seat 6 slam call (Bizarre whatever it is).

three diamonds.

Probably not the best. Not the worst.

I would trap check K93,  but here I need to not give free card to AQ/unlikely AT, as well as the obvious pocket pairs.

Still feels right to play it fishy.  I have 58.5k into 74.5k.

I bet 15k. Slow call. Something does feel ominous with body language,  but I can't get away with turn SPR of just over 0.4

three clubs

All in. Slam call. Awful news.

Has (pre flop non all-in, and slam call feel bizarre, but it plays itself whatever happens).

No miracle

three clubs .

End of schedule

Will message backers individually. Just wanted to say thank you very much to everyone for all the support.

Its been tough. Not during the poker, but increasingly at the end of each one. It shows what is possible over a prolonged period with variance.

Doesn't mean I played perfect. Nowhere near it. Howeve, it definitely wasn't for lack of trying, nor for mental preparation. I think I played well enough for positive things to happen. Obviously we ran horrificaly, but the mistakes/doubt hurt, as they could have changed things.

Its poker. I guess. Thanks for everything guys. To the next one.

Today

The only regret would be the AQ. And its results-orientated one, as obviously the results orientated regret is just that it probably would have worked, and prevented the pot happening. It's close. Almost zero information on the new player. Table had the feeling that staying around was worth something, and so not playing overly sized pots, was correct. But, there's a thin line between that, and missing spots, especially when it's an easy 3betfold. Don't think I can fold the river. The near- certainty of splitting with some value, as well as the smaller chance of finding him with a surprisingly semi-light KQ, must add up, with the bluff chance, to make it right to call.

Note

I'm actually going to repeat the above bust out message, so that it shows last, so as to not 'spoiler,' so that it shows last.

Unlucky mate.  I’ll be in next year if any room.  Brilliant read as always.
