Sit here.

Haven't played stars for a while. Have they done away with the "Sit Here" option where you just hover the cursor over the seat you want and click?
I can see Preferred Seat in settings but that doesn't seem to work at all and even if it did it looks like a global setting.
I want to sit in different seats on different tables.

Got another high level answer from their 'technical department'. I asked to get the 'seat me here' option back at the tables so you can rotate the table.
Their response: all places in tournaments are randomly chosen, you cannot change them.
So they think I am asking if I can chose my table and neighbours in a tournament... Cant make this sh*t up. They do not understand the feature they removed.

Why would you want to sit in different seats in different tables? Surely it’s easier to be in the same seat on all tables?

Because he loves to be awkward.

Hi Vin, great to hear from you mate.
Why I would want to sit in different seats surely isn't the point, and even if it has te be the same seat on all tables, why can't I decide if it's at the top of the screen or the bottom?
Actually, My reason for wanting to sit in different seats on different tables is because I like to play two tables that overlap by about two thirds, so if I sit in the far left seat on the left table, and the far right seat on the right table, I can see my cards all the time without waiting for the hidden table to pop up.
Choosing your table position has been a feature on Stars' forever, as it is on almost every other site.
On Stars you can choose card style, card back colour, table shape, table colour, background colour, background texture, animation type and chip type.
You can choose to have little sparkles to fall on you if you win a hand and you can choose to throw a dollop of virtual shit at your opponent.
I don't understand what they achieved by removing the option to choose your seating position.

yeah they are making some silly changes - they hugely increased the minimum size of the lobby, for utterly no reason. On that thread I linked they also changed the tourny lobby listing. It is like a completely ignorant person is making these changed simply for the sake of them.

See Vin, if I could sit in the left seat on the left table it would be much better.

It's a laptop Dave if that makes any difference but no, it doesn't flicker.

I'm sure he'd have mentioned it - repeatedly - if it did. Never known such a fussy picky bugger.
I bet if he hears a rattle in his car he strips it down to rectify it. Can't be doing with a rattle, can we?

Does your dell laptop randomly freeze, causing you to say "flickering monitors and freezing laptops, walofs"?

I once had a nice little single wheel V4 petrol Transit pickup. Ex gas board, and as clean as a shilling it was, a 1969 and this was in 1977 so it was practically new, especially when you compared it to my usual vehicles.
I was driving past Magila Cottages one day when I heard a squeak squeak squeak coming from somewhere under the dash.
It drove me mad that squeak, I spent days trying to find it. It almost killed me too on several occasions because I used to drive with my head below the dash, trying to locate the cause.
Eventually I deduced that it was the heater cowl. Heaters in those days were basically just a radiator that sat in a little tin box near your feet, and the front piece of tin on this one was squeaking.
I couldn't stop it, I wedged bits of fag packet and lolly sticks in the joints, and I even screwed the odd self-tapper into the bits where I wouldn't damage the rad, all to no avail. It continued to squeak.
Finally I could stand it no more, I pulled over to the side of the road, got out and a la Basil Fawlty, told it I was going to give it a damn good thrashing. (Or words to that effect) Then, I got my lump hammer and delivered a tremendous blow right to its fascia, producing a massive dent.
I drove on, glaring at the heater, daring it to make a sound, but it was as quiet as the mouse it had been imitating. What bliss. That showed it who was boss.
About a fortnight later one of the hoses came adrift from the heater sending a cascade of hot water on to my foot. I stopped very quickly and tore off my shoe and sock. There was no real damage, and the hose was easy enough to put back on.
I must have loosened the hose when I hit it with the hammer
I reasoned, and the heater squeaked just once, quietly. I think it was agreeing with me.
