Well played Kev. It seems the new clubs and a bit of coaching are starting to kick in.

And for me, it was deja vu all over again.

Nothing to report, games gone, head full of broken bottles thinking about too many things. Definitely need to have a lesson or 2 just to get rid of them. Can still play holes ok but I've got 3 or 4 really bad ones. Struggling to break 90 when a few weeks ago I was thinking I was trying to break 80 regular. Played a county open last sunday started 7,7,7,6 didn't get a lot better and managed 50 on the way out. Came back in 39, stupid game

On a happier note looking at going to Gran Canaria again, went there last October for a couple of weeks think I played about 11 rounds on 3 cracking and quite different courses. For the tight Scottish git you know I am the cost stings but your on holiday. How happy was I to see that as we (she) fancies September prices are way cheaper. Reckon I can get 10 rounds for about £600 (still to get a buggy). Massive bonus just need to get a new carrying case for the clubs. Came back from Majorca and think they dropped it off before landing Smiley

Moaned it in a bit I suppose. Played first division open today at a very Windy Alloa. Driver worked pretty well today apart from big pushes on 5,9 and 12 bringing the big scores. 5 was a decent 6 as was hitting my 4th from about 190 into the wind. 9 blew it into horrible spot, hack out then blow the next into trees and 12 lost it right so a decent 6 again par on 2nd ball. Couple of 3 putts on 10 & 16 was annoying but can't moan putter worked really well holed a lot from about 10 - 15 feet. 18, usual nemesis, had it in my head all day 221 yds into the wind brutal hole and the cause of most of my blow ups. Tee shot lost had to walk back to tee (it wasn't too far Smiley ) 2nd under a tree at side of green but no way could get a club to it, dropped an unplayable and made a good up and down for 6.

Was typing this out with the intention of saying don't know if I am happy or disappointed with it but after typing that out I've remembered more of the good bits. Ended up with an 81. Not sure I've birdied 4 holes in a round many times before, wind helped on 2 (even though the 2nd shot was topped) and 6. 13 I can get it near the green on a good day from yellows we weren't that further back but not with todays wind, hit a really good pitch. 17 right into it from a high tee good drive pulled 2 so had to avoid the side of a tree to my left from about 80 yards. Then shit the bed on 18 again Smiley  and lost it on a countback

Nice one eck. I'm looking forward to Longniddry Seniors on Wednesday. Hopefully get a bit of run on a links course and the greens aren't too difficult iirc. And its also stableford, so a blob isn't the end of the world.
