Check out this all star line up playing the Beatles "While my guitar gently weeps" Watch until the end when Prince steals the show with his brilliant guitar solo, Dhani Harrison's face is priceless.

I am never quite sure if that Prince guitar solo at the end is "real", despite watching it countless times (hundreds, literally) over the years. If it is real, then it is equally extravagant & extraordinary. His hands & fingers must have been lightning fast. Either way, I love it.

I also much enjoy Cheesecutter Hat Bloke's contribution too. (Steve Winwood I think?)

Who is the rather familiar looking & somewhat flamboyant keyboard player at 1m 5s?

One of my favourite Dire Straits tracks.

The keyboard player is Steve Winwood, and the guitarist is Marc Mann. For years I thought it was Winwood on guitar too.

Ahh, bugger. Now you say it though it makes sense, knew he was familiar looking but could not place him. He worked a lot with Jeff Lynne.

Thank you.

Prince was seriously underrated as a guitarist by many.
It's a little 'showy' for me though.

Hat man is Marc Mann. He played the Concert for George in 2003 and really nailed a lot of George's slide work. In this he plays the first solo (Eric's in the original Beatles record).

Kings of Leon, a band I'm still yet to see live. Were supposed to play Lytham Festival this year but pulled out unfortunately.

Brilliant Tom. Made me think of Sellers and put a smile on my face.

SRV lost to us in a helicopter crash 35 years tomorrow. He was just 35 years old at the time and playing some of his best stuff after kicking addiction. IMO one of the greatest blues guitarists.
