Ok, just saw a thread on a different forum and thuoght I'd have a go myself, wondered if anyone else would want to join me in having a go.

The 'game' is - turn £50 into £1000 using UK Football bets. To make it a bit more interesting i'm setting myself a deadline of March 31st. I'll start from this saturday. If I hit £0 I've lost - no rebuys!

Anyone interested? If there's few of us we can keep track of bets/profit/loss on this thread.

Yeah, betfair sounds good to me. Maybe someone can teach me how/when to lay.

Ok, my bets are on and the, £50 is on the line today... this could be a short game!! 4 bets in total and i've even tried a Lay for the first time.

11th February

1) £20 on Colchester United to Beat Huddesfield at odds of 3

2) £5 on Portsmouth to Beat Manchester United at odds of 7

3) £11.40 on the Draw between Blackburn and Evetron at odds of 3.25

4) And my final £13.60 is taken up by a Lay on Nottingham Forest who are playing Swansea.

If all bets come off I would be at £119.25 at the end of the day.

IMO this seems like a complicated way to win your money, you could back a certain double for your £50 and be in profit for week one.

This would be my selection:

Arsenal 8/15
Chelsea 2/5
Watford 8/11
Hibs 8/11  £20 acca  Returns £128.09

Fulham V WBA 9/4
Villa V Newcastle 9/4
Hull V Norwich 11/5
Sheffield Wed V Palace 11/5  £2 lucky 15 returns £639.04 if all come up.

My method here is to cash in on my certainties and double my original outlay and hopefully get 3 draws from the lucky 15.

If I was being greedy I would add Gretna and East Stirlings opponents into my acca.
