Omaha Horror

I was chatting to El Blondie tonight about his exit from the $5,000 Omaha. Dave quite fancied his chances in this, he believes he has an "edge" against most of the field.
He don't do bad beat stories, nor do blonde, but facts are facts, this was his exit hand......
He held 9-9-6-8 double suited.
His oppo, Toto Leonidas, held A-K-J-8, suits not known.
Flop was 9-7-2 rainbow.
Toto raised pre-flop, Dave called.
Dave trap checked the flop, Toto Bet, Dave Re-Raised all-in for $28,000.
Toto called. Hit his middle pin T, & the board failed to pair.
Goodnight.
Some call, eh?

Fair point Wolfy, but from the way Dave described it to me, Toto was in a position to get away from the hand. But I don't know the fine details.
And I thought that sorta thing only happened in 0.25 - 0.50 online games!
Such is life.
