I've just been playing in a tournament and through hard work and great play got to be chip leader.

Then I make a great call when some total idiot of a fish tried to bluff me, but then the muppet hits his one outer!

What on earth goes through these people's heads...... Smiley

There is a fine of £1 payable to each member for bad beat stories.

At the last count there were 2591 members.

Mind you, looking on the bright side, it'll be far more expensive this time next year  bad beat yawn

Consider it like this....

If you found someone stupid enough to accept odds of 1/2 on the result of a coin toss, you shouldnt really complain too loudly when they win.

Div gets the prize for spotting the joke.

As if I'd moan about a bad beat after my rant on another thread.

If I got charged 50p for every bad beat story I told, I'd owe the wall behind the PC about £50,000 by now.

Tsk.

Anyway, I will tell someone else's bad beat from the MTT I played tonight.

It's folded round to the SB, who completes. I have T9 on the BB. Flop is 678 and he checks. The pot is 1800 and he has about 8500 chips (I have him covered). I decide to try an all-in overbet, to make it look like a steal.

The poor guy must have thought it was Christmas as he sat there with 95...
