Just got back from the Gutshot thinking "aren't I lucky, I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow and got to some far off airport. I don't have to endure so many hours of circulated air on a plane. I don't have to re-aclimatise myself nor contend with jet-lag. Further more I won't don't have to listen to people telling me how wonderful their U S of A is for the world. I won't have to struggle through queues to register and pay. I won't have to find energy from "somewhere" to cope with late nights in card rooms......... it's not working is it? Yes I am jealous.

Good luck to all those going bring back a bracelet or two and take some of that folding stuff of the locals.

me and a friend are going to start going to the gutshot as of next week, any ideas if you are going next week?

we are both looking to further our progression in poker to live cash games, of which i have very little experience!

would be good if we could meet a fellow blonde to socialise with as it would be our first ever visit to the gutshot.

Hi Sunday,
As an ex-Gutshot dealer I can tell you that you will find an informal atmosphere which is usually crowded to the gills with happy poker players - especially the 5 night on tuesday which tends to sell out around 7pm, so get there reasonably early.  Oh and dress for the tropics.  Have fun

and felt about 90 degrees with only 80 people in there.    Not an ideal situation

We will be at the same venue soon enough, then we can all hook up & maybe have a drink. It's so much nicer to put faces to names, except in the case of, say, Red-Dog, who's really quite dreadful.

Just a small point - I dion't run the site, I'm just the bit you see. There is also Dave Colclough, Rhowena, Jo, & now Jen. But I suppose I am the prettiest one.

I do hope you visit our Home Page too - all sorts of stuff on there. Streaming Videos of players, Tournament Reports, News (including news that El Blondie has changed sponsors), Articles, & stuff. Lots of stuff.

As jen says it is friendly place but the air-conditioning is knackered at the moment and, as of last night, the only fan lies crippled on the floor.

You say you want to try a "cash" game, is that instead of a tournament or a way of describing a non-internet game.

Not sure when or if I will be there next week, Brighton beckons for at least Friday onwards. I didn't decide to go last night 'til I got a call from a friend suggesting the trip. If I go soon I will give you as much notice as possible.

Which area do you live, are you part of the Sutton lot?

That is a terrible thing to say to you, I wouldn't stand for it. I suggest you treat this as a point of principle and refuse to go to Vegas!!. I, always willing to  help, volunteer to go in your place, transfering your ticket to me, and give him a piece of your mind. The things I would do for you hey! Now where's my shorts, I've got packing to do.
