Why isn't Stuart pearce good enough yet ? He is good enough for a top half premier league side so why not England ?

Nem, i used to own the same pair of rose tinted specs that you now own, England players are not the sharpest knives in the drawer, and when things are going wrong in a game, they need someone to change things and re organise, Sven is blessed with having the best crop of players that any manager has had for a very long time... and i just dont believe he uses them right. i dont doubt his ability to prepare a team for a game, but its during the game and at half time that you need a motivator and a passionate manager.
do yourself a favour, dont build your hopes up of us winning the world cup... expect us to qualify from the group stage and then anything above that is a bonus.
Agree, Kev. If England do well in the world cup it will be despite Eriksson not because of him.
If we can lose to Northern Ireland in a competitive game how can we beat the likes of Brazil etc? Suddenly one lucky win v Argentina and we can win the world cup according to most. We have a good, if not great team but a poor bench and the worst manager in the competition.
How many other top 10 teams squads would Crouch, Jenas (and I am a spurs fan too), Green, James, Hargreaves, even Defoe get into?
As for Crouch, he has had one good half season for Southampton and how long is he going to live off that for? People forget he couldnt even get on the bench for a poor Villa side and how many goals has he scored for Liverpool this season?
Get all your money and lay england on the exchanges.

So Jurgen Klinsman can get a job as German manager without managing a club side, Marco van basten can get a job as Dutch manager without managing a club side but Stuart Pearce (manager of Man city) hasn't got enough experience to manage England ?? RUBBISH course he's got enough experience. At least he has got experience at club level which is more than can be said for the other 2 mentioned above.

Well, you saw what happens when you get an inexperienced manager (Germany - Italy, anyone?
) Anyway, 97 days left to sort out all our problems and win that cup ...

The two you've just mentioned were panic appointments. Germany needed a "Big name" German manager for their World Cup and the same for Holland. Stuart Pearce has been in football management for less than 1 whole season and you want him to manage the England national team LOL.

Panic appointments ?? So if Germany must have a BIG NAME GERMAN and the DUTCH must have a BIG NAME DUTCHMAN, who do the think ENGLAND should have then ? stuart pearce in management for under a whole season ? So obviously you forgot about when he was manager of Notts forest then, where he learnt his trade and did his coaching badges? The only reason england haven't made a panic appointment as you put it is due to the fact sven is tied to a contract and rather than have to pay him off they think it will be a good idea for him to take us to the world cup and if like last time we are 2-1 down with 30 mins to go, keep the same formation not have a shot on goal and crash out of the world cup... Yeah sounds like a great idea to me. So Anyway give me YOUR choice for England manager
Also Replying to Moritzy while i am here. It was a friendly mate how many regulars did Germany have in the team ?? and Italy come to think of it.
HERES A THOUGHT WHATS TO STOP A JOINT MANAGEMENT TEAM FROM DOING THE JOB FOR ENGLAND ??

We had most of the regulars in the team, I'm afraid. Was pretty devastating ... not sure about Italy.

They got relegated and he got sacked.

Guus Hiddink.
Stuart Pearce's managerial career
Team From To Games Won Lost Drawn
Man City 11-03-2005 Present 42 18 13 11
Nottm Forest 20-12-1996 08-05-1997 23 7 7 9
65 25 20 20
Pretty average if you ask me. Also, he learned his coaching badges at Man City
NOT
Nottingham Forest.

Why would you want another foreigner ? why not someone who's English with plenty of passion and very good. Stuart pearce took over at Notts forest in 96 at the end of Dec (how many teams have stayed up that have been bottom of the league at the turn of the new year) and he won manager of the moth award for January whilst studying for his level 2 and uefa B license but could not save them from going down. I aint saying gus hiddink isn't a good manager but to be fair anyone could have managed psv and real madrid back in the day when they were far superior to all the other teams in their respective leagues,Even when he won things with Holland they were the best footballing side in Europe without doubt.
I still say get someone ENGLISH. and the best man for the job is STUART PEARCE
COME ON PHYSCO

If we went down the English route, I would want Sam Allaydce as Englands manager. He is by far the best English manager out there. I want the best manager for the job, it doesn't matter if he is English/Indian or even Scottish

Not saying they ever have, but you keep on about how Stuart pearce isn't good eough yet to mange Engalnd so why not put him in charge along side someone how you think is good enough.

Give me your reasons why alladyce is the best english manager out there by far, without mentioning the way Bolton play football (which works for them but would definatly not work for England)

It is proven that you cannot have 2 managers. The England managers job is just to early for Pearce. Believe me I would want Pearce in the job, because he is a legend, but atm their are better qualified managers out there with more experience.
